# Terms of Service ### **Iapetus Terms of Service** **Last Updated:** 02/09/2026 By inviting, using, or interacting with **Iapetus** (“the Bot”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must stop using the Bot and remove it from any servers. *** #### 1. Use of the Bot The Bot is an **economy-only Discord bot**. By using the Bot, you agree that you will not: * Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics for unfair advantage * Use the Bot for scams, fraud, or misleading users * Attempt to disrupt, spam, or overload the Bot * Use the Bot in violation of [Discord’s Terms of Service](https://discord.com/terms) or [Community Guidelines](https://discord.com/guidelines) We reserve the right to restrict access to the Bot at any time for abuse, misuse, or suspicious activity. *** #### 2. Economy System Disclaimer The Bot’s economy system is for **entertainment purposes only**. * All currency, balances, items, and stats are **virtual** and have no real-world value. * The Bot does not guarantee that economy progress will always be preserved. * We are not responsible for losses caused by resets, downtime, bugs, or changes to features. *** #### 3. Ignore Channels (Bot Restricted Channels) The Bot supports an **Ignore Channel** feature. When a channel is marked as ignored: * The Bot will not respond to commands in that channel * The Bot will not send messages in that channel * The Bot will not provide economy features there Server administrators are responsible for configuring ignored channels correctly. *** ### 4. Data Collection & Storage To operate correctly, the Bot stores only the minimum necessary data, including: * **User ID** * **Guild (Server) ID** * **Channel ID** This data is used strictly for: * Linking economy balances and stats to the correct user * Carrying user economy data across servers (your balances and progress follow your Discord account, not a single server) * Storing server configuration, such as ignored channels * Ensuring commands function properly * Displaying leaderboards, showing each user’s number of Berries and their ranking * Displaying users berries, including showing how many Berries a user has The Bot does **not** store message content, usernames, emails, or any other personal information. *** #### 5. Data Removal You may request deletion of stored data by contacting us through: [**Our Support Server**](https://discord.gg/Dte5YBv3ej) Some data may not be removable without impacting functionality (for example, deleting a user’s stored ID may reset their economy progress). *** #### 6. Availability The Bot is provided **“as is”** and **“as available.”** We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime or error free performance. Features may be changed, removed, or reset at any time. *** ### 7. Limitation of Liability By using the Bot, you understand and agree that the developers and maintainers are not responsible for: * **Economy losses or changes**, including lost balances, missing items, or unexpected changes caused by bugs, downtime, or required fixes * **Server disputes**, including arguments, bans, or conflicts between members related to economy actions (trades, gambling, stealing features, etc. if applicable) * **Improper use of the Bot**, such as users attempting to exploit bugs, spam commands, or use the economy system to harass or target other users * **Any indirect or unexpected issues**, such as missed rewards, lost progress, or other problems caused by Discord outages or circumstances outside our control Use of the Bot is at your own risk. *** #### 8. Termination We may block or remove access to the Bot for any user or server at any time, especially in cases of: * Abuse or exploitation * Harassment or harmful use * Attempts to bypass ignored channels or restrictions * Violations of [Discord’s Terms of Service](https://discord.com/terms) or [Community Guidelines](https://discord.com/guidelines) or the Bot's Terms of Service. *** #### 9.
